This is why Setmore partners with Save the Redwoods League<\/strong><\/a>, an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring redwood forests for over 100 years. 1% of our revenue goes to planting trees worldwide. On California\u2019s North Coast, restoration is also revitalizing local economies. Since 2019, nearly $100M has been invested into large-scale projects<\/strong> through public funding, philanthropy, and community partnerships. In 2024 alone, these efforts created over 200 well-paying jobs, with more than 90% of contractor hours filled by local residents<\/strong>. Apprenticeship programs have already trained 70+ students in hands-on restoration<\/strong>, equipping the next generation to care for the forests that care for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When ecosystems flourish, so do the people who live alongside them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benefits don\u2019t end at the forest\u2019s edge. Visitors from around the world are drawn to experience the redwoods, fueling eco-tourism and supporting small businesses. In 2023, Redwood National Park welcomed over 400,000 people<\/strong>, contributing nearly $30M to nearby communities<\/strong>. With new trails and habitats being restored, that impact will only deepen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what Save the Redwoods League calls a \u201crestoration economy<\/strong>\u201d: an approach that doesn\u2019t extract from the land, but heals it \u2014 while creating dignified work and strengthening communities. It\u2019s a reminder that environmental care and human growth aren\u2019t separate goals. They\u2019re intertwined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
