So in the meantime, this month we\u2019re launching a few functionality improvements to address some of the rough edges around elapsed-time reminders, allowing customers to reschedule classes, uploading avatars, and a hearty handful of new bug fixes. Continue reading for details.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instant text reminders for quick appointments<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Setmore will now issue an instant text reminder for any appointment booked within your\u00a0<strong>reminder lead time<\/strong>. This improves the previous setup where you would see \u201cLead Time Elapsed\u201d on the reminder status for some appointments.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3583\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/blog-setmore\/1\/2019\/03\/instant_text_reminders.png\" alt=\"The Appointment Details window in the Setmore calendar.\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>For example:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>If your reminder lead time is one day<\/li>\r\n<li>But your customer books an appointment less than 24 hours in advance<\/li>\r\n<li>Setmore will now send a text reminder to that customer.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Setmore sends the text reminder about 10-15 minutes after you or the customer books their appointment. This is so we don\u2019t overwhelm your customer with messages ?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3582\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/blog-setmore\/1\/2019\/03\/instant_text_reminders_phone.png\" alt=\"A phone with a text reminder on the screen.\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>**Note<\/strong>\u00a0that this updated feature only applies to newly booked appointments, and not existing appointments on your calendar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customers can now reschedule\/cancel classes<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Previously, customers could not reschedule or cancel classes on their own. Now we\u2019ve added\u00a0<strong>links for rescheduling\/canceling to your class confirmation emails<\/strong>. Customers can use these links to reschedule to a different session of the same class offering, or cancel their attendance if they\u2019re unable to show up.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3581\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/blog-setmore\/1\/2019\/03\/class_email_reschedule.png\" alt=\"The Setmore confirmation email template.\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t want customers to reschedule\/cancel on their own?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>No problem! You can deactivate this feature in your Setmore notification settings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.setmore.com\/settings\/#notifications\/customer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Settings &gt; Notifications &gt; Customer.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3585\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/blog-setmore\/1\/2019\/03\/settings-notifications.png\" alt=\"The menu flow for getting to the Customer Notification settings in Setmore.\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Un-check the box next to \u201cSend the cancel appointment\/class link to the customer\u201d to prevent customers from\u00a0<strong>canceling<\/strong>\u00a0their class attendance.<\/li>\r\n<li>Un-check the box next to \u201cSend the reschedule appointment\/class link to the customer\u201d to prevent customers from\u00a0<strong>rescheduling<\/strong>\u00a0to a different session.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3580\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/blog-setmore\/1\/2019\/03\/checkboxes.png\" alt=\"A set of checkboxes allowing a user to activate or de-activate reschedule and cancel links in Setmore emails.\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0These checkboxes control the presence of a Reschedule\/Cancel button in the email confirmation for both regular appointments and classes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Images upload faster<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One of the best ways to improve your Booking Page engagement is by\u00a0<strong>uploading photos for your staff and services<\/strong>.
