It’s the start of a brand new year, and we’re dreaming big for Setmore in 2018. Steady progress is being made on some of your most in-demand features, along with some new products and services we think you’ll really love. Read below for details on the latest additions and performance improvements to the Setmore platform.

Classes are in session

You can now create classes, book sessions, and add/edit/remove attendees in Setmore for iOS.

Classes for Android are currently in the final testing stages and will be coming soon, barring unforeseen setbacks. In the meantime, however, take advantage of this new capability and start making classes or checking in on your session rosters on the go!

Update 02.05.2018: Classes are now available in the Android app v2.0.18.20180130.

Reserve with Google

Customers can now book appointments to your Setmore calendar directly from a Google Search or Google Maps results page. This free service is made possible through partnership with Google, and it’ll make it easier for your customers to book online while increasing the chances of getting new appointments for your business. Before you can participate, your business needs to be verified by Google.

Please note, only businesses in the Health, Beauty, and Wellness industries may participate at this time. Support for additional industries will be added in the near future (we’ll notify you by email when your group becomes eligible.)

Export payment data to QuickBooks

Setmore now integrates with your QuickBooks account. Anytime you log a cash payment, or a card payment via our Stripe integration, the payment data will automatically transfer to your QuickBooks account. This helps cut down on manual data entry while making sure your accounting books have the most up-to-date payment info.

The QuickBooks integration is brand new, so we’re inviting you to try it out and give us feedback.

Other improvements and bug fixes

  • When disabling and re-enabling a staff login, the staff member will now have the same access level as before re-enabling.
  • Appointment history will now show when customers attended class sessions.
  • Customer login page now supports user email addresses with a “.london” domain.
  • New accounts will now have a 1 hour appointment lead time by default.
  • Fixed a bug that caused payments window to not appear for class sessions if the customer was booking through the Setmore plugin for Facebook.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some customers to not receive a “Payment Confirmed” email.

    I moved from Vagaro to Setmore. And I`m missing ONE great feature, actually I think I`ll have to switch to Vagaro again. When a client books an appointment in Vagaro he instantly receives a confirmation SMS.
    In Setmore only SMS reminders are available.

    • Hi Nataly, I hear you. We’ll be looking at expanding text/SMS engagement features in the future but any updates, if taken up by our team, will take months to build, test, and deploy. I want you to get the best solution that meets your needs, so I understand if it’s a dealbreaker – do what you need to do and we’ll be happy to help you transition out as needed.   • Hello,

    We are very happy with the changes but have run into a hickup.
    In our environment we use our google calendar as a default for our agent time managment. So we use the 2-way sync in order to get all the information into setmore.
    However, when our agents are out-of-office due to illness or vacation, they plan a multi-day all-day event in their calendar.
    These multi-day all-day events are correctly synced to the setmore calendars, but only the first day of these multi-day all-day events are blocked in their booking pages.
    Can this be resolved by your dev teams?
    It would be quite a hassle for our agents to plan the same events in more than 1 location.

  • Just upgraded to Premium – very excited with the additional features! Any possibility that we could have the ability to send follow-up “thank you” texts to clients after their appointment? And the ability to send “happy birthday” wishes texts – there could be a field in the client profile to input the client’s birth date which would trigger the “happy birthday” text on the day of their birthday.
    Thanks for creating such a great scheduling app!

    • Hi Lamar, both of these items are on our backlog. I can’t say if or when they will be added to the platform, our dev and business teams decide what to prioritize. That being said, I’ve recently seen early design mock-ups of a post-appointment “Thank You” email that invites customers to post a review on your Booking Page. This will likely be added to Setmore within the next few weeks, or months at most. Thanks for commenting!
